todays finds 1-22-10

well with no takers to get out with today, i headed back to the spot I was at yesterday. looks like I will have to keep this spot all to myself. I managed to find a few more goodies to add to the total for this site. I found 1 46 rosie, 2 wheaties,51 and 53. a couple more memorials. a cooper tag of michigan with a phone number stamped on it. the gun is a cap gun which was down about 8 inches, the picture doesn't do it justice, and a old ford cap of some kind. another fun day of hunting.

If I had known that was a model T hubcap I probably wouldn't have thrown away the 2 I found in PP. I also found a Chevy one.

kinda close but mine has a manufacture name on it and I have already emailed them and was told that these were made back in the 40's. here is there link http://www.parrismfgco.com/. they have been in business for 74 years or something like that.

yes i do agree that they do kinda look alike but not made by the same company unless they are using their name without permission and that some how this gun found its way into the middle of the woods and was buried 6-8 inches down. this was found on a old homesite.

I'm sure you know what you have, and not trying to dispute it or talk you into believing you have something different. Just remarking how close they looked. I wasn't aware you had the manufacturers name already. I have been helping forum members identify finds here for about 7 years, and thought I was helping with the ID.
